Bogor, 16 June, 2022 – PT Mandiri Sekuritas (Mandiri Sekuritas/Company) provided donations for waste management training and the planting of Crystal guava fruit seeds to help preserve the environment on Thursday, 16 June, 2022 to Donny's Farm, Cijeruk District, Bogor, West Java.
The training program at 3.6 hectares land, involved around 40 participants from Donny's Farm surrounding areas for the first phase, including orphans aged 17-25 years. In the waste management training program, participants received education on how to process used cooking oil to be recycled into household soap which can be used to wash dishes, pots, pans and clothes.
Meanwhile, the educational program for planting Crystal Guava seeds teaches participants to understand the basic process of gardening, from the beginning process to being able to harvest the good quality of fruits. The harvested products can later be sold, thereby generating profits for the cultivator.
Heru Handayanto, SEVP Mandiri Sekuritas said, “This program is an initiative of the Mandiri Sekuritas Islamic Club (Manasic) team of Mandiri Sekuritas and part of the Company’s corporate social and environmental responsibility (TJSL). The objective of this program, which is planned to be conducted on sustainable basis is to foster socialpreneurship amongst community, so that other than being more environmentally friendly, the participants will also have a business orientation towards profit that can improve their quality of lives.”

Through the Environment pillar, the Company aims to actively participate in helping to reduce the threat of global warming, overcome pollution and prevent flooding.
